Star Wars

Star Wars is a simple "target practice" game. A ball is placed on top of a cone or disc, and the object is to pass a second ball towards this target to knock it off.

Depending upon how many extra balls you have, if you have enough you can use your extra balls as your targets, and then spread them out around your field and allow the kids to aim at whichever target they want (have the coaches set them back up as soon as they are knocked off to keep the game going). Challenge your players to make their passes from farther and farther away to make it harder.

If you don't have enough extra balls (or any), pair your players up. Each player stands about 10 yards apart from their partner and gets one target, set up in between them. One of their balls is used for the target, and the other is used for passing. As they're standing opposite from one another with the target in the middle, any passes that miss the target can be collected by their partner, who then takes their turn. The coaches set the targets back up as soon as they are knocked off. Challenge your players to make their passes from farther and farther away to make it harder.

While the game is played stress proper passing technique (plant foot to the side of the ball, inside of the foot used to strike the ball). Older players can also practice passing with the outside of their foot, etc.
