Divide your players into two teams (colored practice vests are highly recommended for this game). Set up a playing area of about 30-40 yards square depending upon age.
Start with three soccer balls. One team will have one of these and is the "passing team". The other team will have the other two and is the "smashing team".
The passing team can move around freely within the play area and tries to make consecutive passes amongst each other. Passes must be at least 10 yards.
The smashing team, using only their hands, tries to "smash" the ball being passed around by throwing their two balls and striking it. Players on this team can only move three steps from their position when the ball is in their hands (can't just chase down the ball being passed around), but can move around freely when they do not have the ball.
If the smashing team successfully smashes the ball, the teams switch sides. If needed, allow the smashing team to use a third or even fourth ball.
