Ball Jumps

This is another game that's really more exercise than ball control, but I find that it fits well during the ball control portion of my practices.

The player starts with the ball sitting directly to one side. They'll then jump to the side, over the ball. Simply repeat this back to the original side, and continue jumping back and forth over the ball. This ones is a fantastic cardio exercise (and will tire your kids out quickly).

For older kids, to make it even harder, pair your players up and have them jump over their partner instead of the ball! This makes for an even bigger challenge, with the side effect of encouraging looking out for your teammate (by not kicking them in the back as you jump over them!).

If there are games that you like to use that you don't see here, please pass them along! Just email us at info@soccerforcoaches.com.
